As a 3rd or 4th year junior fellow resident member of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, you are receiving a complimentary $100,000 Life Insurance policy, as well as a $1,000 monthly Disability Income Insurance benefit, as available in your state. The College provides this valuable coverage to 3rd and 4th year junior fellow resident members during this important stage of your education and career development to help protect your future. You’ve made a significant investment in your education, and The College wants to make a significant investment in you.

10-Year Level Term Life Insurance

With $100,000 of 10-Year Level Term Life Insurance, your family and loved ones won't be stuck paying your college debt and other expenses should something happen to you. You can continue on your chosen path with peace of mind. With ACOG paying the premiums during your 3rd and 4th year of junior fellow residency, you lock in unsurpassed coverage for years to come. If you elect to continue coverage after your fourth year of residency, you will receive your first premium notice to continue the valuable coverage—with The College continuing to pay 50% of your Term Life premiums for a year.

Disability Insurance

The College doesn't want an illness or accident to keep you from continuing with your dreams by stripping you of all your equity. A $1,000 monthly Disability Income Insurance benefit from The College wil help you protect your savings. Approximately 95% of disabilities are caused by illnesses rather than accidents and 95% of all disabilities are not work-related—and therefore not covered by worker's compensation.* The Disability Insurance provided by The College ensures that your valuable education is not wasted if you incur a disability that prevents you from practicing. If you elect to continue coverage after your fourth year of residency, you will receive your first premium notice to continue this valuable coverage—with The College continuing to pay 50% of your Disability premiums for a year.
